Without digging back through the archives, I'd guess you are talking
about the case where the caller, a female, was asking for advice on how
to deal with her brother's involvement in a traffic accident. A
pedestrian had been injured and while no arrest had been made, an
investigation was under way. The lady was concerned that her brother
would be arrested when, in her opinion, he had done no wrong.
And in that isolated case, I'd have to agree with you. The manner
that at least one LEO responded IMO was totally out of line. This
particular individual is a certain Canadian officer who takes that
stance with practically every civilian query. Because of his attitude and
manner of posting, he has drawn fire on numerous occasions from LEO's,
non-LEO's, AND moderators. He hasn't been around in a few weeks.
Yes, you DO get an attitude from time to time, but in the long run, this
forum has been and continues to be one of the best civilian/LEO
interface media that I've ever seen.
