Hello Ann,
It is good to hear from you, how are things going? Yes, the scooter
lift dilemma has been resolved. It works great! To be able to pick up
the scooter and go, gives me a new sense of control in my life. I'm still
on a learning curve as far as the routine use of the lift is concerned.
Each time I use it now, I use it differently, but that will change as I get
more experience in its use. Since I'm placing the scooter in the back of a
pick-up truck, I
have to tie it down. Still working the bugs out of that process so I
can do it well and still expend the least amount of energy. Things like
this and other comparatively minor details have to be worked out, but now I
can get it on and off the truck at will and that was the major obstacle to
my getting to use the scooter. The short answers is, "yes!" things are
much better now.
In my opinion, the Polio Survivors Foundation in indeed a wonderful
organization. They certainly were a help to me.
Ann, give me a Shreveport weather report. I'm trying to get up my
nerve to visit Louisiana. Nothing in the planning stages yet, but if you
were to tell me that it wasn't gonna get hot and humid, and there no
mosquitoes big enough to be mistaken for single engine planes, I might
move it up on my list of things to do. Seriously, I hope things are going
well for you and yours. Thanks for the note and take care.
