The question of slow vs. high speed modems for the Atari 8-bits is also
a matter of having an Atari direct-connect modem as opposed to one that
requires some type of expensive interface to connect to the Atari...
Maybe those people with 300 and 1200 modems have Atari direct-connect
modems and don`t have an 850, MIO, or Black Box.
