Perhaps they're both problems are caused by the same thing, when is REAL bad, you get 12k connects, when is medium
bad, you get 14k connects with lots of "line noise" or
"dropouts" or "we're not really sure". You know how to
lock your end in to 12k, so can you try locking it in to only accept a 14k
connect (just to see what happens, it should at least ensure that you never
get a 12k connect). BFN.
