I have 4 Blue crowns. Fuzzy is the first one I got about three years ago. He
learned to pull his door closed and to shake hands (both hands when you ask
him for the "other Hand") The first thing Fuzzy said was Gibbee, Gibbee,
Gibbee. I did not know what that meant until one morning I got up and Fuzzy
said "Gibbee a kiss" and then he gave me a kiss on the nose and said "Thank
You" He says many things now!
And then I got Penny, the sweetest bird. You can do anything with her and
she will not bite. I had Fuzzy and Penny together for about two years and
they got along ok. And then I got Philly. I don't know what sex any of them
are,
but Philly was nice for about a week and then all of a sudden she started to
Bite Viciously! And tap her beak on her bars. I ended up moving Fuzzy in with
Philly and now they are both Crazy birds. Whenever they get the chance, they
bite. And if they get their chance, they attack Penny and Patty( who I got a
few weeks ago. She is certified female.)
Could this behavior mean that they are mates protecting each other, or?
HEEELP! It hurts like @#@!#% when they bite down to the bone!
They have a breeder box, but who knows?
Oh, BTW. I don't dare shake hands with Fuzzy any more! :) He
says Gibbee a kiss, but both he and Philly's head feathers stand up and they
look like Kramer on Seinfeld! :)
