 Well as a "General" rule BIOS dates before Aug 1994 could onlky see 528
Meg. Those before Feb 1996 cound only see 2.1 gig, Those before Jan 1998
had the 8.4 gig limit and those before Jun 1999 saw up to 32 Gig.

SO the 8 gig limit could be CORRECT. 
Mis-Information also includes speaking before you know ALL the facts.
