| subject: | Tender - Inflatable? |
BD>Our family is getting the boat ready for spring and are looking at the BD>getting a small tender to tow behind our boat. Something about 8 1/2 BD>feet long. The big decision is whether we get an inflatable or a hard BD>hull boat? We have a 2 hp motor. We would appreciate knowing any pros BD>and cons of both. Also if there is a personal preference one has to a BD>particular brand? The Seattle boat show is almost here and so is spring BD>and it's time we hit the water. BD>Thanks BD>Barry HI there Barry ... Well you will, I'm sure hear lots of thoughts about hard bottoms and soft ... so ........ let me get my oar in the water. You mention your family .. how much weight ? For speed with a 2 hp you ain't goin' nowhere fast. A hard bottom will move you faster than a soft bottom. I personally have a 10' and a bit soft bottom Avon, but I have a 9.9 on the stern. it just flies with me and my wife and still planes with three or four regular weight folks. Good luck in your search Rob BD>--- BD> * QMPro 1.53 * MSI HQ! BBS * 805-873-2400 Home of WILDCAT!
