Hello Wayne !
-> I was going to suggest a PRG that I use at times, called
-> BAKTRAK, it also zeroes in all tracks/sectors. But if the HD is not
-> even seen on your system, you can not address it with any CLI.
I had this occured to me once, Wayne, on a system that Jim
provided for me. Ran very well then I did something funny to a HD.
The only way that I could recoup it was by making it Slave on
another system and running the gammut of test on it. I even thought
that the IDE-0 was dead on the MoBo. BAKTRAK cleaned all for me and
I was able to reload XP Pro on it.
WC> BTW you sig line says you won't be without a OLR but it looks
WC> like you switched to one that's not year 2k compliant.
WC> Two of your posts to me had a numeral preceeding the W in Wayne,
WC> a known defect of BlueWave without the fix applied to it.
No editor is subject to this W2K bug. Bluewave is and I was
resetting a system here and forgot to install Dale S.'s fine
corrector for this W2K thingie. You will not see this anymore. I did
not pay attention to it and I was some put off when I also saw then
applying the leading numeral to the To: names. Too late, the .rep
was gone.
I would not be without an OLMR.
