Yes, there is a problem with the f/w 1.04 and data CNG tone. A modem approved 
for use in many European countries should have this tone enabled. This is not 
required in Nth. America.

Actually I agree with you and I'm also using 1.04 now with much nore success 
then I had with 1.05/1.06.

I agree with this too. Unfortunately some local European distributors has 
adopted f/w 1.06 and 1.04 is even no longer available on their BBS's.
