You know, I don't think they've stopped any of that (what a chunk of
control and/or money they'd have to give up on!)  Someone was just
telling me the other day, they will believe the government is sincere
about cigarettes when they stop subsidies. I don't think they will
unless they get *so* much grief about it that they can't worm their
way around it.
That is a good question, though.

that I would never be so blinded by anything effecting me personally
that I would attack or support it based on what it meant to me, even
though it was bad for society as a whole. Liberals could learn so

Uncle "Ninny" is right! Gee, and to think, when I was a kid, the
"black sheep" in my family was a wacky uncle that was sort of a
beatnik artist who wore sandals. Sheesh, at least he had a real
*job*, which is far from what we can say about Uncle Ninny...even if
that word does seem to come up a lot when talking about him. Blech!
