Maybe there is a DOS/WIN utility that will solve Waynes problem but
since the disk can't be seen by DOS it may not be fixable. The problem
i'm having is Wayne has it as G:\ and that is no good when things go
pear shaped. Perhaps if he moves it to C:\ DOS/WIN may be able to fix
it but so will Linux.

I had a similar problem when i overlapped partition boundaries on a WIN/ME
machine. Neither DOS or Linux could see the WIN partition from the
command line. I thought i had lost all data on the first partition but
once i had destroyed the Linux partitions the WIN partition magically
reapeared data intact.

Talk about lucky. I had only just installed WIN/ME and all the driver
files where on it and i hadn't backed them up.

Gee iv'e never been called a wize before. :-) I am like you i learn
by trial and error.
