I got this letter some months ago.
It wasn't a bad compiler, but it was *NEVER* supported
by Borland.  I sent numerous bug reports to Borland,
and they never answered me, or corrected the problems.

Wonder how long they'll be in business?

Borland C++. for 0S/2


   After careful consideration, Borland International
has made the decision to discontinue sales and future
development for Borland C++ for OS/2. The OS/2
marketplace has been decreasing steadily over the past
year and it is no longer prudent for us to continue
investing in this marketplace. Borland's strategy is
to invest in high growth market areas, including the
Windows, client/server, and Internet/lntranet
development areas, and deploy resources accordingly.

   If you have purchased Borland C++ for OS/2 in the
last 90 days, you are entitled to a full refund or a
copy of C++5 for Windows 95 and Windows NT (Desktop
edition). If your purchase was made before 28 July
1996, you may upgrade to Borland C++ 5 Desktop, Borland
C++ 5 Development Suite or Borland C++ 5 Development
Suite with Design Tools at special upgrade prices. For

   Technical Support for Borland C++ for OS/2 will
continue to be available through until 20 December
1996. Our CompuServe and Fm services for BC++ OS/2
will also continue to be available.
