Howdy! Holger,

 HG> Hi Ed,

 HG> GE Ed,

HG> I Noted that your message was written/uploaded in the evening.

EV> I Read BBS messages when I want to at different times of a day.

HG> Yes, of course. The reason for my note was that I look at the time
HG> stamp of the message, if I remember, before replying to it, and this
HG> was the reason for greeting you with, what I thought, the correct
 HG> time-of-day.

The other night, after I wrote several Replies, it was late and I didn't
send them off until the next day, and before sending the .REP packet off
I opened them and closed them so they had a later Date showing.

I may had used a GE greeting in a message to You when I wrote it but after
I Edited the message by changing the Date/Time for that message, it looked
strange to You.

Was it something like that?

HG> A spellchecker accepts the word 'addition' without hesitation because
 HG> it is correctly spelled.

EV> Right!, addition is a word, No Grammer Checker here to tell me I'm
 EV> in error.

HG> Maybe somebody uses a grammar checker, but they must be very few.
HG> The best grammar checker for me, is myself re-reading what I have
 HG> written

After I wrote something in Office Word on my Win 3.1 box I clicked on the
Grammar Checker and was told my writing was at the 8th Grade level.
I don't use that software anymore, I have Apache Open Office here, and I
once in a while use it to read a .DOC file someone sends me, but can't think
that I've used it to write anything.
AOO writing program may have a Grammar Checker, I don't know, I'd have to
look.

EV> I think I'm funny weather no one else does or not.

HG> Yes, it's fun reading you, no pun intended.

EV> I got the Advanced Class License because I passed the CW part of the
EV> Amateur Extra test but not the Theory + R&R part.

HG> I'm glad that you passed the test so that you could fully use the HF
 HG> and V/U/SHF bands.

I had Full Access to ALL AMATEUR RADIO BANDS up until the A.R.R.L. suggested
to the F.C.C. that "their incentative licensing plan" was good for Amatuer
Radio and to change the Amature Radio Rules and Regulations to include that.

EV> I had no idea which answer to select when asked about a Grid
EV> Modulated Triode in a Microwave RF Circuit.

HG> We have also the same kind of questions in the license tests these
 HG> days.

I haven't taken another Amateur Radio Test since I got the Advanced Class
license.
I'm in a "exclusive" group that won't get new members unless the
R&R's are
changed again to allow Hams to upgrade to the Advanced Class! .... ..

... I've repeatedly reiterated, again and again, don't be redundant.
