I followed YOUR advice.
I clearly stated REPEATEDLY it was an OEM first release 
Win 98 CD and that documents failed to supoort your claim
the Ultra66 I/O card had hardware ATAPI support.
The Promise web site makes no such claim.

In a previous post I scrolled past, you inquired as to what
happened between when the hard drive worked and then was
failed to be recognized. 

I followed YOUR advice and "installed Windows first."
That's what wrecked the drive.
I've TRIED dropping the thread but you insist on accusing me
of making mistakes by following your advice precisely.

That is MOST annoying in my present circumstances,
I was feeling pretty damned good prior to following your advice.
