JV>Needless to say, that was about the last of it. Went back and worked
JV>with them on some tunes for a night. I knew they had auditions, but
JV>apparently they had more. I told them that I saw little purpose in
JV>coming back if they were going to go with someone else.
Sorry to hear about that buddy. My situation is somewhat different in
that I don't think anyone is thinking too seriously about gigs so
there's no pressure.
JV>Needless to say, I haven't heard back since.
JV>Musicians... sheesh.
Funny lot, eh? Our best musician is the bass player/singer (he also
dabbles in keyboard, plays mandolin and is a guitarist) and he's the one
who seems most annoyed when we mess up. The other guitar player is
very talented but lacking motivation. He can really nail solos he has
practiced (unlike yours truly who only nails with a hammer) but practice
isn't in his vocab. I'm not sure he's even listened to the tape that we
have of all the songs we're working on.
JV>One interesting note was that I took the Pro Junior. The Blues Deluxe
JV>was too loud last time, so I figured I'd go smaller. I couldn't even
JV>crank it! The Rotovibe provided a bit of thickening, which was neat.
I would like to take mine but without a PA at this point, we need the
four inputs from my Bandmaster or Traynor for the mics. Plus I'm
competing against a Marshall half-stack.
JV>Oh well, back to the basement.
I'm either in my basement or the drummer's basement.
