--- Sez Kenneth Newman to Scott Rhodes ---
SR> The only Kiss album which comes anywhere close to being
SR> Progressive Rock would be _The Elder_, and even that would
SR> be a bit of a stretch.
KN> I believe Paul Stanley is on record as saying it sounds
KN> like "a really bad Genesis album."
It's almost enough to make you wonder what Stanley thinks might
qualify as a "good" Genesis album...
I bought a used MCA reissue of _Trespass_ a few weeks back, and
reacquainted myself with this relatively enjoyable album. The
fi is less than hi, but it's a bit less noisy than the old ABC
pressings. No gatefold cover either, but what the hell.
Thanks for the kind words about _War Child_ a while back, too.
I picked up a near mint copy last weekend for a couple bucks...
Seems to be a better album than I remember, though I never did
listen to Richard's copy much when it came out. Even "Bungle In
The Jungle" sounds better than it does on the radio. A decent
record, and arguably as Prog as anything they recorded besides
_Passion Play_ or _Thick As A Brick_...
Also got my own copy of _TAAB_ finally, primarily for the St. Cleve
Chronicle, but the vinyl's in better than average condition as well.
