RC> To list the Sytem Name. You are reinventing the field.

You are doing too;-)

 >>> That /is/ what the field was created for ...

That was the intention, yes.

MV|>> That is until I invented another name that serves another
MV|>> puropse as well. My system is now called 80.100.89.220.

RC> And it looks pretty stupid too.

Michiel didn't "rename" his system himself;-)

How about net229.darktech.org ?
Nice name for a BBS user, isn't it?

Or runekeep.darktech.org for a BBS name?

How about having 000-24-150-164-144 in the phone field?

Looks pretty stupid too as well.

I suppose you prefer using systems like fidonet.net and fidonet.org ?
Then you can use the phonefield _and_ BBS namefield for what they were
created for.

MV|>> Have a problem with that?

RC> No just with your egocentric self-centered attitude and your
RC> constant deriding of the people of this network. Many of whom
RC> were around long before you

"kettle" "black"

RC> The standards have been around for years. Stop trying to rewrite
 RC> them historically

Yes sir! :

000-24-150-164-144 ; runekeep.darktech.org ; net229.darktech.org

Thanks for teaching me history ;-)
