| subject: | Unique NamedPipe Server |
Hello -all-,
I am writing a named pipe server (as everyone does once a while) which
creates a multi-instance pipe via
DosCreateNPipe(...,NP_NOINHERIT|NP_ACCESS_DUPLEX,NPP_WAIT|NP_TYPE_MESSAGE|NP_READMODE_MESSAGE|(UCHAR)MAX_CLIENTS,...)
and starts a seperate thread for every connection.
During testing I happened to start a second instance of this server and ---
it could create a multi-instance pipe with the same name, too! The client
continued to connect to the first server and switched, after closing the
first server, to the second.
Isn't there such a thing like "owner of a named pipe"? Or did I
forget to set some option in that DosCreateNPipe() call?
