Hi Tom--
Browser "cookies" aren't the only problem. I don't use a
Java-enabled browser, because of the high probability of picking up a
malicious applet from some amateur web page. The so-called Java applet
security isn't; at least not yet. See, for example, the article on the
subject in the November, 1996, issue of DDJ. There is a later piece on
the subject in the January, 1997, issue of BYTE.
