Perhaps you don't understand the nature of the program. It's purely a
time-waster.
It says "OK, I'm doing this highly unlikely thing now ..."
And then it goes and waits for a while.
And then it says "Last unlikely test succcessful. Now I'm doing something
else ..."
And it goes and waits.
This is _not_ threatening code. You could do the same with a batch file,
honest.
(Well, everything except the primitive CPU testing procedure the program
uses, which has a modicum of validity, and which a batch file can NOT do.)
My point of offering the disasssembled .ASM is simply to PROVE once and for
all that 486TO586.EXE is a fraud and hopefully put it to rest.
Yeah, I know how unlikely that is, given that the breeding rate of goddamned
fools and idiots is far faster than the FIDO communication rate .. but one
can only try.
Besides, I was somewhat taken aback to find a "True Believer" in 486TO586
right here on this Echo! Hadda do something serious about _that_, ne?
