The Mexico video is one of the best ever. Why then won't the owner submit
it for examination? The video shown on TV was third generation, meaning
that the "original" was at least second generation when it was copied
for broadcast purposes. This "generation" information is evident in
the vertical scan when the frame is rolled to a split. This displays
a black bar which contains video information in the form of a scanning
dot that sort of jumps around from side to side. The greater its
deflection, the poorer the quality of the copy (and the further away
from 1st generation).
