Always seemed kinda dumb to me that the M$ startup diskette and ERD's
have FDISK, but not FORMAT, since I always format right after using
fdisk to rework partition(s). I _much_ prefer to do it myself to
trusting some M$ CDROM disc to do things for me automagically.

Esp if I will be doing HDD
troubleshooting, I usually also add

MORE, so I can read long directories and readme files without them
scrolling off the screen.

SYS, so I can make a hdd which has just been Fdisked and Formatted
bootable. Even back to MFM times, IME, there is always a nice feeling
when a HDD which had seemed dead is fixed and reboots. [;-D.

EDIT, so I can modify files like Autoexec.bat and config.sys if I want
to.

XCOPY can also come in handy.
