I tried vim once.  Even figured out how to quit the program without
killing the process. 

Now if you want to start a real fight, get the old "vi (vim) versus
emacs" fight going.  That's as time-honored as "Star Trek versus Star
Wars".

I am using FTE to compose this message.  It works well for what I need.
