EA>My O/B motor mount needs to be replaced
   I own a Columbia 26 with a Yamaha 9.9hp 4-stroke. If not the heavyest
10hp it's close. I am currently using an OMC bracket that has a
hydraulic cylinder to assist when lifting the motor. The bracket has a
wide mounting base, which leads to a more stable motor I believe. Since
the motor is a touch heavier than the recommended weight, I added some
shock cord the bracket. I recently have also seen some inexpensive motor
mounts, designed for sailboats, that electrically lift the motor. Hope
