Hi Derek! >> I've got an EGS Spectrum here. It is a 24 bit graphics card... SC>> The quality's meant to be good on them, isn't it? Sorta, TV quality. SC>> Is that where all those JPegs spring from :-> >It will handle up to 16.7 million colours and resolution far better than TV >quality. A lot of people think TV quality means good, it doesn't. The quality >of TV pictures is poor compared to the resolutions acheivable from modern >computers. >The best jpegs and gifs that you see on BBS's and so on come from digitised >photographs, which are far ahead of the resolution obtainable on a computer. Speaking of grafix cards, I have a Z2 Retina here that won't talk the 50khz Horizontal frequency needed to drive a nice 19" fixed freq. monitor I have sitting around. Do you know if the EGS or some other Amiga card will do it, or are they like the Retina and talk only in steps of 15 khz or so?
