The problem is to shoehorn it into 640k and still have room to run
applications. And remember, you wouldn't get the long filename support since
applications, in general, wouldn't support it.

(To get an idea of the size -- consider how much the available RAM shrinks
when you load CDROM drivers. That's another file system, and it's a readonly
one to boot!
