HPFS is easy to install. In CONFIG.SYS, replace the HPFS.IFS statement be
IFS=C:\IBM386FS\HPFS386.IFS /A:*
and put the two files HPFS386.IFS and HPFS386.INI in directory 
C:\IBM386FS. HPFS386.INI contains the information about the cache size, 
for example

[filesystem]
useallmem = Yes
lanroot = C:\IBMLAN
cachesize = 65536
 
[lazywriter]
lazy = *: ON
maxage = 5000
bufferidle = 500
 
That's all that's required!
