subject: Quiet echo

Hello Dan,
DT>This echo is so quiet now I guess everyone is mad at me for that WL and
  >spellin thing. I've been reduced to discussing the relative size of
  >math text as it compares to the text of Japanese math texts.
Well, I am about twenty or so packages behind - but all caught up on
personal mail - did I miss something here? I'M NOT MAD at you - talk
WL and spelling all you want. I enjoy our conversations!
  If
  >everyone will just come back and post more I promise I will give my
  >kindergartners a spelling test next week and do 30 minutes of drill and
  >skill every day for a week.
No, No, No! ;) (As I really believed you would )
Have you ever read any of the MacCracken's books (not sure if I spelled
the name right)? I have a friend that recommended them and took a peek.
I remember there was some interesting spelling stuff there of a more
formal nature.
Read any good books to your kindies lately?
Have you ever done portfolios or rubrics with your class?
What are you currently doing in Math?
There - gave us something to talk about for a while. For the moment I
have time to write. I finished my Long Term last week and who knows when
the next one will come along. Something after Christmas would be nice -
Early Primary this time, please.
I get my top wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow morning (whimper) and have to
be reinterviewed with the Board of Ed. on Wednesday if I want to have a
chance at a job in the future. I'm currently on the Hiring List but now
I have to do well enough to stay on it. :(
I am compiling my portfolio to take to the interview on Wednesday
evening. Wish me luck.
                        -Ruth
