subject: money v quicken

ok ok ok i know i've been raving about every programme that has been
updated to a windows 95 version but i've just discovered a nice little
"freebie" on the MSN it can be accessed via the oz pc mag page in
the whats hot area if you have difficulty finding it word search "free
money" or the file itself moneyMSN.exe....now to the point...i've been
using/committing my life's secrets to quicken for windows for the last two
years...and yes it WAS a good program and version 4 is a rip off..so now i
gave almost been converted to MS Money for windows95..i say almost because
there are some minor things that quicken does that i like but for those of
you starting from scratch DUMP quicken and go for ms money 4 for
win95...the file takes about 26 mins to dl {at} 28880 as it's >2.8meg but
it installs in a flash and the look is spectacular..it took me a second
installation to overcome my initial boo boos but then most us need to
install unistall and reinstall most new progs don't we...i've jsut spent
the best part of friday night and saturday re entering my finacial life
since 1 july 95 as i don't trust the quicken *.qif export function to
corectly allow itself to be imported into msmoney. there seems to be be
only one draw back to money and that's that you can
"electronically" import you stock data by that i mean you can't
import say your almax ascii data...you have to manually input the stock
data...that is until the msn in oz is upgraded to provide all the online
wiz bangery that our usa bretheren can...but i believe most of these things
are due online in decemebr so maybe it aint so much of a prob after
all...like all win95 concepts money is DIFFERENT so don't expect quicken
clone but DO CHECK IT OUT ... it really is wortth it ..the oz cd of the
prog costs about $29 for MS Communique members for even with online costs
for a 26 min dl it's still so go for ...let me know what you think of
it....
