  G'day...  reading a message further on from Peter Deanne to you has
jogged my memory, If I'm correct there is a flag in Maxs to do just that.. 
Have another look in the areas config on the right hand side there is two
flags, one I think was to make the 8-3 type packets..  



  I haven't unarched Maxs to have a look and am only going by memory, But I
used to poll only IBm packages and initially had a similar prob..that Was a
long time ago now or so it seems...



  Of course your other option and really if you want to be compatible is to
get a better program, Maxs was a good starter once but not these days..
