CH> Now, it is no secret that many LEOS in the United States are Masons;
CH> and I wonder if anyone has any thoughts as to what effect this
CH> organization (Masons) has on proper law enforcement in the United
CH> States?
This is an interesting question, one that I've really never thought about
before. Our previous Chief of Police was a Mason, but our current Chief of
Police is not a Mason. I'm not a Mason, and I've never been pushed or
encouraged to become one by any member of my department. I thought about
becoming a Mason several times in the past because of the many good things
they do. Maybe some other LEOs will have a different perception, but I've
simply had the thought they were a great organization which did many good
things in the community.
