I think it was a Saab turbo or perhaps even an Audi
that came to the U.S. with the the blower boost turned down for U.S. 
emission standards.

Popular Mechanics and some car magazines immediately
told everyone that you merely turn this one screw so far this
way and you got a big jump in the turbo boost.

Geez CA is tough if they have mobile IR smog detectors to nab violators.
