I am currently running a 40 gig WD HD as CS1 and a DVDRW as CS2 (by which plug on the 80 wire cable) and it works fine. However I have a Maxtor 80 gig drive that I cannot use on an 80 wire cable at all, either CS or master/slave as no OS I have will operate it without data loss and all out failure. (ECS,W98,Linux). AS for the above problem, may I suggest remming the DANIDASD driver and using the OS2DASD driver instead. This is the driver I am using currently with my DVDrw.
