I've been checking those out but so far my results have been less than
¨successful.  They seem to all require an email address to use for

place I used that ¨email address with and shortly after those accounts were
flooded with viagra ¨ads and things like that.

Sorry to say but the sites I chose were obviously not as reputable as the
¨Fidonet norm and that causes the rest who are innocent of such, to become
¨suspect.  I understand it's a sort of updated 'call back verification' but
I am ¨tired of making temp accounts to use just for such that I dont
normally use ¨(experience taught me to only do that though the individual
sysop asking for my ¨email is most likely innocent).

I've been hunting about for BRE sites that arent too upset if I drift away
ad ¨my 'place' gets killed but it's hard to find them and when I do, they
want my ¨email address.....
