If you are familiar with Pascal or Delphi, you may like to look at the
Free Pascal/Lazarus platform which allows you to write code for Windows
and the Raspberry Pi (and the Mac, I believe).  I've used it very
briefly for the one graphical program I wrote for the RPi.

It's in active development and has been around for quite a while.
