CO> SG> A "coach gun", such as the IGA or others we use in the cowboy
CO> shoots
CO> SG> here, would be easier. A double is naturally about 4-6" shorter
CO> than a
CO> SG> pump or semi-auto with the same barrel length, due to the action
CO> being
CO> SG> shorter. I just laid a 28"-barreled side-by-bide next to a pump
CO> of the
CO> SG> same barrel length, and the difference was 4" in overall length.
CO>
CO> True but, when I went to set up my home protective battery, the only
CO> double
CO> I had was a Holland and Holland. A voice in the back of my head
CO> murmured
CO> "you even think about it, boy, and I'll make sure you never think
CO> about
CO> anything again." I respectfully put the H&H back in its case then
CO> went and
CO> found a model 1897 Winchester which I amputated to 20 inches.
A double isn't even good against _one_ intruder.
If you miss the first round, you only get one more chance...he won't give
reloading time.
