Crudely put but true to life.

Though I don't see it as selfish. To be selfish one has to know that others
do not have something and purposely deny it to them. I do not believe that
people in Z1 can be that selfish. They simply do not see, either because
they do not know or because they are misinformed, that the rest of the
planet does not live the "happy" (sic) lives they think they
live.
The only general thing one perceives from that continent is violence in all
its forms. One has to live outside of it for several years to be able to
see it. What percentage of the population in Z1 has lived outside of their
continent for that neccessary period?
I've known (North)Americans and Canadians for years and they are not as bad
as you put them, Michael. They are normal people just like the rest of us.
Their leaders on the other hand and the image they project do conform to
the description of Fido members you give above. Unfortunately.
