->  Well, how do, Wayne?

A bit rough tonight but can't complain as I've just had a few relatively
easy days that are quite rare of late.

-> -> WC>Seems some individuals have gotten into reprogramming the black
-> -> WC>boxes in their cars to maximize performance beyond
anything they came
->  -> WC>of the assembly line with.

-> -> Yes. Apparently there is a loophole in the OBD-3 system.
-> -> But in the earlier models of the Engine Computer Control the ROM chip
-> -> was in a Socket and one could buy a replacement that tweeked the
-> -> performance. OF course the SMOG output went up dramaticly.

-> WC> The site I accessed spoke of some having the programming switchable
->  WC> with a switch inside the driver's com[partment if desired.
-> WC> Best of both worlds

-> I saw something on the tube where the drag racer could tweak behind the
-> firewall with a laptop. Guess they just run a cable, and if it is humid that
-> day....

The only real super performance ride I had was the 1100 superbike
which I'd planned to detune replacing the 4 into 1 with stock pipes for
cornering clearance and rejetting down 1 notch for beter fuel
economy.

I think i could have squeaked by with a mere 110 H.P. on a 536 LB
motorcycle rather than the 120 that monster had.
