BOBBY QUEEN typed to DAVE DRUM about Conference Rules BQ>DD> If the Race Net yahoos are involved here - I'm gone. I abandoned BQ>DD> the other racing echoes where their drivel is gated in (all I BQ>DD> ever saw were "ain't we great" press releases from race teams) BQ>DD> because it is all noise and no discernible signal. Remember - BQ>DD> quantity does _not_ denote quality. BQ>RIME I think is gated with RaceNet and my echo is gated with RIME but BQ>RaceNet as a network no longer really exists. The reason I gated it BQ>with RIME was to get more participants but its been gated for well BQ>over a year now. My point was that the RaceNet rules have no place in FIDO. This is _your_ echo. Not RaceNet's. RIME is so nearly dead as to be on last gasp life support. We seem to have dwindled by one participant this year. Haven't seen a peep from Kim. I used to participate in an e-mail list Pick Three run by a guy named Bob who lived in FLA. But, he abandoned NASCAR when the cars started to become cookie-cutter replicas and the single car teams pretty much lost any chance of winning. I am beginning to have leanings in that direction with the "common template" bodies and the cars being raced having absolutely _no_ relationship to the product in the dealer showroom under that badge. If NASCAR goes to a common engine (as the rumour has it) I'm definitely out of here and back to Saturday Night Short Track. I really miss the days of _STOCK_ car racing. ENJOY!!! Uncle Dirty Dave's Kitchen Home of Hardin Cider & Yaaaaa Hoooo Ahhhhh Hot Sauce!!! ... A truly wise person knows that he knows not. þ CMPQwk 1.42-R1 16554 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
