    Please note that I said ** Peter Schickele **.  I did **NOT** say it was 
P.D.Q. Bach, who is a Schickele persona (sometimes non grata).  If you will 
check, Schickele is actually, in his own right, a composer of high (but not 
wide) repute as well as an excellant musicologist.  I have attended some 
P.D.Q. Bach concerts and own most of the PDQB records, but have also attended 
a Schickele concert at the Kennedy Center with him conducting some of his own 
chamber works.
    A person has to be very good at their specialty to do a good parody.  If 
he were not a competent musician he could not pull off PDQ Bach with success 
the way he does.
