RO> Remember back in the 70's... the WishNiks? I've been passively
ollecting
RO> them since I was a kid. Got quite a few (but I've heard there's a lady
n
RO> town with close to 1000 of the creatures!), mostly the ones that I find
RO> interesting (which is how I collect everything).
I think I remember those. I can't imagine having that many of anything,
unless it would be books...:) I still have quite a few books, stored out in
the garage, salvaged from the housefire that we had back in December. I
on't
know if I'll ever get them back in the house or not, but at least I've still
got them...:)
RO> I even picked up some Battle Trolls as a discount/clearance toystore a
coup
RO> years ago... now I wish I had gotten more when I had the chance.
Now I do remember the Battle Trolls. Why is it that we never think of such
things as kids' toys as something collectable? Do you remember Rainbow Brite
from back in the early 80s? My daughter loved that cartoon. I even got her
some of the dolls. I don't know if I've still got any of them or not.
RO> I was looking at the ads in the back of "Collector's Mart Magazine" the
oth
RO> day (researching a contract programming job, no less!) and saw that
dragons
RO> are apparently on the upswing. You might want to browse over to a local
RO> bookstore (one that has a decent magazine section) and see if they have
it.
RO> not, I can get you the publishers address and you can request a sample
from
RO> them... looks interesting, but not much of what =I= collect.
RO>
I never thought that something as different as dragons would be something
hat
people would collect. I guess it just goes to show that stranger things
happen. I'll check out the magazine if I ever get to a good store one of
these days. Thanks for the tip.
