Darwin's Ghost was the US title - putting "Darwin" in the title meant
you don't need to read the jacket blurb or reviews or even the section
name in the bookstore :-) Toughminded Brits and their recent holdings
have no trouble with a literary allusion. Jones is a Brit, of course.

Actually it would be interesting to see how the marketing campaign and
sales varied in each jurisdiction.
