Is there no-one that has just 1 line of ASX data they would like
to share with us? Alternatively, cam someone come up with some
bright ideas for field separators, I've run out of ideas...

Format of historical data as supplied by the ASX. This is a
working document, as I know for a fact that Stockeasy is not
importing this data except for the date. Presumbably the
separator is wrong, but the obvious things like ",", space
and tab do not appear to be correct.

There will be a separate file for each company, and the file
name will depend on whether it is daily, weekly or monthly data.
As an example, daily data for Mayne Nickless will be called

DMAY.PRN

The format of the file is that line 1 will look something like:

"Mayne Nickless (MAY)"

Not sure if that is space or tabs separating the Nickless from
the "(", but the field is supposedly a fixed size.

Lines 2 to 255 will contain daily data, the format of which will be:

date, high, low, last, volume, accum value, high-accum, low-accum, last-accum

e.g.

19950822, 6.20, 6.10, 6.18, 50000, 3, 9.20, 8.10, 9.10

When you have run out of data, just stop, make sure you do not add
a blank line at the end.

Please send corrections to Paul Edwards.
