JK> Nancy, I'm hoping the best here as I'm sure both of you are.

The good news is that I've had an email from him... he's safely back in
Nice... a bit disconcerted about the turn of events in Turkey, though...

JK> I'm guessing you contacted the airline and the embassy...

Actually I hadn't thought that far in, yet... hadn't a clue which
airline he was using anyway... I instead sent him another reply to his
last email, in which he was boarding, asking him what was up and saying
I'd heard nothing since that mail... got a reply quickly, with a "Sorry
about that... I'm safely back in Nice" and a sort of update on his
(still very nebulous) plans.... We usually go on the "no news is good
news" basis... but occasionally that gets a lot less satisfactory...

JK> I hope you hear something good soon!

Thank you for your concern... :) maybe you could hope for him to get
his next boat job... (G)
