       Well, that probably is one of the newer ones. Take off your pickguard 
or tremelo spring plate and see if you can see the plies of the wood through 
the paint. If it's too thick, you still might not. If you're daring, knock a 
chip of paint off in one of the cavities that is covered by a plate, like in 
the control cavity or tremelo cavity and see if you see solid wood or plies.
