  FIVE-DAY INTENSIVE SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP
                 LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
                        AUGUST 23 - 27, 1997
Cleargreen, Incorporated is pleased to announce a unique
intensive seminar and workshop on
Tensegrity, which will be given in Los Angeles from Saturday, August
23 through Wednesday,
August, 27. The theme of this seminar and workshop is called The
Not-Doings of the Sorcerers
of Ancient Mexico.
The theme of this seminar and workshop is called
THE NOT-DOINGS OF THE SORCERERS OF ANCIENT MEXICO.
Not-Doing was a term used by don Juan Matus to designate a
specific cognitive
dissonance, that is to say, a cognitive process by means of which what
seemed to be a natural flow
of activity was deliberately interrupted to create a state of
momentary cognitive chaos. For example,
don Juan argued that although there is plenty of room in the right
shoe to be worn by the left foot, we
wouldn't dare to do that. We would do it as a joke, but not as
something serious. The doing, for
don Juan, was to wear shoes the way we do, in a "normal" fashion. The
not-doing was to
deliberately reverse that order and wear the left shoe on the right
foot and the right shoe on the left
foot.
According to don Juan, shamans who lived in Mexico in
ancient times, who were the founders
of his lineage of sorcerers, used these states of momentary chaos
created by the deliberate
engagement in not-doings in order to establish a most necessary
fluidity of thought and action. Don
Juan, as well as all the sorcerers of his lineage, believed that the
cognitive processes of daily life are
so taken for granted, that fully socialized human beings have no
possibility whatsoever for genuine
change and innovation. Don Juan himself was convinced that modern man
could not even rearrange
established patterns, and that all he can do is to learn to accept
them without fretting. He said that no
new ideas could flow in, because the system of doings was so
established that it admitted no
competition, much less change. He firmly believed that this kind of
stagnation was the mark of our
lives; and that if we didn't use all our resources to oppose its
force, it would run away with us, and
drown us in repetition and boredom.
In order to offset the established patterns of cognition,
the sorcerers of ancient Mexico
invented not-doing. For them, not-doing was intimately related to
their magical passes.
This seminar and workshop will consist of four parts: the
first part will be a series of short and
to-the-point fifteen-minute lectures on the development and importance
of the magical passes;
lectures given by practitioners and teachers of Tensegrity. Another
series of short lectures will be
given by the four disciples of the nagual Juan Matus: Carlos
Castaneda, Taisha Abelar, Florinda
Donner-Grau and Carol Tiggs; and by the Blue Scout. The subject of
these lectures will be the
different aspects of the not-doings of the sorcerers of ancient
Mexico.
The second part will consist of magical passes which have
never been openly taught before
and which the sorcerers of ancient Mexico deemed to be pertinent to
not-doing.
The third part is the not-doings themselves, which will be
taught and explained in the same
fashion in which the nagual Juan Matus taught and explained them to
his disciples.
The fourth part will consist of the practical applications
of the not-doings in the world of
everyday life.
The subject of the not-doings, as well as the subject of the
magical passes, were issues of
such tremendous importance for the sorcerers of don Juan's lineage
that they were kept under
conditions of ultimate secrecy for generations. This will be the first
time ever that the subject of
not-doing will be openly discussed and taught. In this seminar and
workshop, the magical passes
and the not-doings will be intermingled, in order to create a total
formulation of energy; meaning that
the not-doings, triggered or reinforced by the magical passes, will
create a veritable avenue for
change for the participants of this seminar and workshop, as they did
for the shamans of don Juan's
lineage.
The schedule for this seminar and workshop is as follows. This
schedule is subject to change:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 23
 9:30 to 10 AM
              Introductory lecture entitled,
"Not-Doing as a Bona Fide Avenue of Action among the
Shamans of Don Juan's
              Lineage."
 10 to 11 AM
The Energy Trackers, following an energetic formation
used by the shamans of ancient Mexico, and pertinent
only to not-doing,
will teach the First Set of Magical Passes Related to
Not-Doing.
According to don Juan Matus, this set of magical passes
was considered by the shamans of his lineage to be the
most
appropriate vehicle to prepare an interruption of the
cognitive flow of everyday
              life.
 11 to 11:15 AM
Lecture entitled "The Way in which the Magical Passes

The Elements, also in a formation pertinent to
not-doing,
will teach The Second Set of Magical Passes Related to
Not-Doing.
It was don Juan's conviction, based on the opinion of
the sorcerers
of his lineage, that this set prepared the way for
not-doing by
reinforcing the effect of the first set.

Lecture entitled, "The Shamanistic Theater as the
Pinnacle of Not-Doing."
 8:30 to 10 PM
Some long forms, considered to be precursors of the
shamanistic
theater will be performed by the Energy Trackers. Some
shamanistic
skits, a combination of magical passes and not-doing,
will be
staged. It is important to make a note at this point
that the shamanistic
theater is purported to displace the assemblage point.
Therefore,
the skits are sometimes extremely direct, but
hopefully, not offensive
to the viewer. For this reason, utmost care has been
exercised to render
the skits generic. Although the main themes have been
adapted to our days,
the basic impulse comes from the sorcerers of ancient
Mexico.
TUESDAY AUGUST 26
 9 to 9:30 AM
Lecture entitled, "General Awareness and Specific,
Deliberate Consciousness in
Relation to the Not-Doing of the Sorcerers of Ancient
Mexico."
 9:30 to 11 AM
The Energy Trackers will demonstrate and teach the
Third Group of
               Not-Doings.
 11 to 11:15 AM

Fostered by the Magical
               Passes and the Not-Doings."
 11:15 to 12
 NOON

                                June 9, 1997
Cleargreen Incorporated would like to announce that during
the seminar and workshop on
Tensegrity which will take place in Los Angeles from August 23 - 27 of
this year, there will be a
section called the Shamanistic Theater that will be performed, in
perhaps a reduced form, by the
staff of Cleargreen.
            Carlos Castaneda's Tensegrity
        MAGICAL PASSES OF ANCIENT
                              MEXICO
BARCELONA, JUNE 20, 21, 22, 1997
BERLIN, JUNE 27, 28, 29, 1997
There is going to be a group of seminars and workshops on
Tensegrity, a modernized version
of movements taught to Carlos Castaneda by don Juan Matus. These
movements were practiced for
generations by shamans of ancient Mexico to enhance perception and to
increase a sense of physical
well- being and mental balance. In these seminars, one of the most
important concepts in the lives
and endeavors of the sorcerers of ancient Mexico will be emphasized:
the concept of saturation.
Saturation meant, for those sorcerers, to arrive at a point
in which the cognitive system used
in our daily lives was partially and temporarily interrupted. By
practicing the magical passes, they
sought such a state, because it brought them an unusual vigor and
clarity which was not obtained
artificially by ingesting anything, but through the simple avenue of
movement. Because of this, people
who have never done Tensegrity, as well as those who are well-versed
in it, can participate with
equal effect important in our seminars and workshops is the idea of
mass. It is the consciousness of
the mass of participants which makes it possible for all of them to
learn a great number of
movements with utter facility.
The format of this group of seminars, which included the
seminars in Long Beach, California
and Mexico City earlier this year, and will include the seminars in
Barcelona and Berlin, will be the
same. In this case, saturation calls for the performance of Six Series
of Tensegrity movements in a
lapse of two and a half days:
1 - The Series for Preparing Intent
2 - The Series for the Womb. This series is primarily for
women, but men can
practice it also in a light fashion.
3 - The Westwood Series. This series deals with magical
passes that that aid
                    decision-making, the recapitulation, dreaming, and
the attainment of inner silence.
4 - The Masculinity Series -- a group of powerful magical
passes which was
performed vigorously and exclusively by male
shaman practitioners in olden times,
but which is practiced with equal vigor by female
practitioners nowadays.
5 - The Heat Series: The Separation of the Left Body and the
Right Body
6 - The Uses of Some Devices that Accompany and Aid the
                    Performance of Certain Magical Passes.
The Six Series will be taught by a group of six female
practitioners called the Energy Trackers
and by a group of six male practitioners called the Elements.
In addition, the six Energy Trackers, in pairs of two, and
one pair of Elements will perform
several long magical passes. The long magical passes are a series of
magical passes put together by
the nagual Luján, a sorcerer who lived around the mid-1800’s. The long
magical passes were
designed to tax the kinesthetic memory. Each of the facets of the long
passes puts into action specific
clusters of muscles and glands. Their value resides in the fact that
to remember all the passes and
execute them correctly, the practitioners must appeal to energy which
is not present in our daily lives,
but which remains dormant inside the body itself.
Each seminar and workshop will not be exactly the same as
the preceding one, because the
concept of saturation follows its own gravitational forces, which are
not something that can be
foreseen or predicted, but to which the practitioners have to adapt in
the field.
