WC>I wish I dcould FORGET that car, too many repeat problems to mention.
WC>Short version extremely expensive "active alternator coil energizer"
WC>solid state regulator replaced three times.

For the Regulator yuo should have went to your Friendly NAPA Auto Parts
Store. FORDS were famous for their voltage Regulator problems and NAPA
had a third party one buint ofr sale that WORKED.
The problem was that the Engineers listened to the Bean couintewrs and
built it with the absolute lowest (Cheapest) parts avaialble.

AND Fpord learned NOTHING form that experience as Later they had the
same thing(Premature Failure of Factory Parts) happen to their Ignition
Modules.

WC>Three front ends, three transmissions and 4 fuel pumps, ect.
WC>Under 80,000 miles, Windsor not Cleveland 351.
WC>Others shared my experiences with that model.

You must be VERY HARD on Cars. That is very unusual even for a FORD.
Which by the way means "Found On Road Dead".
I know a very poor and old Joke. BUT in reality so were FORD vehicles
