| subject: | DosEnterCritSec() |
On Monday, 97/01/13, Andrew Grillet wrote to James R. Cook about "DosRead blocking" as follows: AG> I understood that DosEnterCritSec was just another name for AG> disable_interrupts. AG> AG> Is that not the case? Hi Andrew, No, it isn't. A call to DosEnterCritSec() simply tells the OS/2 dispatcher not to dispatch any other threads within that process. The process can be pre-empted and other processes dispatched.
