Hi Janis,

JK> Yep... like I said allergies are insane.. some days my daughter can
JK> eat anything.. then because she's eaten something "touchy" she can't
JK> eat something in the same family.
She must have quite the time, figuring out what's safe to eat on any
given day. You probably had a challenge cooking for her when she was
younger, also.
>> Understand.. from my experience at least, allergies gang up on you

JK> That sounds like exactly what happened to me this month with

And new ones have to be tested, to see if you can use them or not.
JK> > My dad was around every night for dinner
JK> oof.. not mine.. but I knew he was helping people like girls and boys
JK> I went to school with because their parents told me.
JK> --unless the fire siren went off

JK> Ah.. meat and potatoes man like Ron's dad :)
Which is why we eat the way we do now. (G) Our diet is much more varied.
JK> > gravy with them some nights, plain for nights when Mom couldn't make
JK> it > from the meat served with it (ham--tho that could have been done,
JK> she > just never did--, meat loaf, etc).
JK> Yep ham can be tricky because it's salty I guess :) with Meatloaf I
JK> generally Mashed potatoes or fries.
We occaisionally had fries but not that often. When we did, we ate more
of them which meant it cost more per meal than plain mashed potatoes.
>> > So he could handle the carb load, I couldn't, especially now.
JK> Like I told my daughter who is about 4 inches shorter than me,'if you
JK> are hungry eat half of what you want'
JK> Yeah, he was a bruiser type.. not short but average height..
But able to work off his carb intake.
>> Yep.. I'm sure it wasn't good for him all in all but his body could
>> handle it.
>>> Yes, he did pretty much. He wasn't a small guy either.. big frame.
JK> Btw:
JK> if you take in more calories than you can burn off you gain weight,,
JK> but I think you know that :)
JK> > I had a heavier than usual carb day yesterday but was able to do a
JK> good > bit of walking so today's reading was good. We're trying to

JK> husband while we're > here.
JK> Yeah, you have to keep moving :)
I'm trying. Was working on laundry, putting stuff (food and otherwise)
from trip away, VBS craft prep,....................earlier today.
>>> HOBAK JEON (Fried Korean Squash Pancake)
>> > Looks interesting, something different to do with squash.
>> One of our favorites :)
JK> > So many ways to cook squash, but then too, there are so many squash
JK> > around in the summer.....................(G)
JK> Generally in the garden I keep it to yellow squash
That or zuchinni, not both unless you really like squash. (G)
