I have no experience with a hosted system but, on my home pc, dosemu will
occupy 1 cpu easily.  I found it did not run real well on a 2 cpu system if
I had other things (like the bbs itself) running.  The system I run it on
now is a 4 cpu and it works much better.

My machine also has xserver running.  Without an xserver, I tend to get
more free resources for dosemu and other things running (like a binkd
server).
